Quality for us begins in the vineyard. At Schloss Vollrads we emphasize the use of manual labor.
Minerality, which is a main character of our Rieslings, is gained through the structure of our soil. It is a combination of loess soil, gravel, slate, and quartzite.
During harvest each grapevine is picked multiple times selectively to provide us with grapes that have reached an optimal level of ripeness.
The short distance between the vineyards and cellar allow for quick process of the grapes.
We use state-of-the-art technology in the wine cellar to make sure the quality from the vineyard will go on unaltered to the bottle.
